Project Overview

This project was to overhaul the existing garden on a new build property useable and practical!  The existing garden was a sloped lawn leading to a very small patio area.

The brief for this project was to design a garden that was both practical and useable to allow the clients to entertain and also use enjoy all the garden space.

The result created by the team at DHMS was a garden split onto two levels, A small retaining wall (acting as a step) allowed us to level the lawn area, of which we turfed to create a nice new lawn.  The lower level was paved using ‘Indian stone’ paving to create a large patio area running the full length of the house and garden creating a nice area for tables and chairs for the the clients to enjoy entertaining with family and friends.  To the perimeter of the lawn area, we created slightly raised beds to allow the clients to plant various shrubs and plants to create a nice soft border full of varying heights, colours and scents to compliment the new garden.
